Cultural Ambition

The vision for Manchester’s cultural development was originally set out in the Cultural Strategy, published in 2002. ‘Our Creative City’ recognised the pivotal role of culture in shaping the future of the city, and identified ways of making the most of Manchester’s unique cultural assets. The Cultural Ambition provides an updated framework for delivery of the Strategy; it builds on what has already been achieved and aims to continue this success to 2012 and beyond. The five main themes of the Ambition guide the Cultural Partnership towards enabling the city to meet its challenges and fulfil its potential.
